Nick and I planned an impromptu baby moon (we took a trip when I was 26 weeks pregnant with Charlie too!) at the absolute worst time. A few months ago we thought, hey, it will be awesome to get away and unwind a bit. In reality, we are looking to sell our house and have just broken ground on building a house closer to my family. AKA we are in a constant state of chaos the past few weeks. A trip was the last thing we could get our heads wrapped around.

That being said, I’m so glad we jetted off to Austin anyways. I wandered around the city with Chelsea and her two boys and it was such a breath of fresh air. Jude and Charlie are only a few months difference in age so we told toddler stories. There is nothing better than realizing you aren’t the only mom that struggles with a tornado child! I also got to see some spots in Austin I never would’ve noticed otherwise.

I’m going to make it a new goal to shoot a portrait session every city we travel to! Now back to the chaos…
