Couples looking for a mountain backdrop and also a getaway for their guests would love Granby Ranch. Granby Ranch is set on a ski slope and the ceremony space is on top of the mountain. Guests ride the gondola up and can enjoy the epic views on the way. Afterwards, their reception space has both indoor and outdoor areas depending on what the crazy Colorado weather chooses to do. The hotel is a few steps away so you don’t have to worry about your guests traveling far. If you choose the location, I would be honored to tag along as the Granby wedding photographer!
I met Mo and Garrett for the first time during a legit snowstorm. It was snowing so hard I could barely see my hand outstretched in front of my face. I know a hundred other couples who would have politely asked to reschedule their session, but when I asked these two if they were up for a little adventure they didn’t question it one bit. We froze our arses off and I knew in that moment I loved their spirits.
Flash forward to last month at quite possibly the hottest mountain wedding I have ever shot. Granby Ranch was blazing with color. Yellows and golds so bright it hurt my eyes (high five Mo’s mom for the sunscreen!)
There are a million things I could list that I loved about this wedding but in the end the thing that makes my heart skip a beat thinking about these two is their loyal and caring nature. They have had a rough road to get to where they are now but I know that there is no other duo out there more ready to take on everything life has to throw at them. Cheers to you both and thank you for choosing me as your Granby wedding photographer!
