If you are a mom/dad/grandmother/human who is on the hunt for a photographer, my guess is you want photos that no one else has. Photos that make your mouth drop to the floor and your heart do cartwheels.
You don't want to drag your family to one more turtleneck wearing, Christmas card session where everyone's cheeks hurt afterward from perma-smiles. You want to go on an adventure, soak up some sunshine, let your kiddos run around and have someone else be in charge.
Me! Me! Me! I was an elementary school teacher for nine years, I've seen it all. And I'm not worried/bothered/ phased by ANYTHING. In fact, I crave the wild child spirit. It is incredible and must be captured! Scout's honor. Let's adventure together... and make some beautiful images in the process!

You reach out and I cue the dance party music when I found out I'm still available. And this is where things get real crazy... I CALL YOU. I'm right there with you, 2026 is the era of texting and emails and cave drawing emojis... BUT bear with me. There is something lovely about hearing each other's voices. I also sometimes force you to join me for a video chat. Because let's be honest, I wouldn't be a true professional if I didn't do that

For as much as you believe your Uncle George has the personality of every other knee slapping uncle across the country, it just isn't the case. No two families are alike. Even at identical locations during the same season. When you sign on the dotted line you can feel confident that you are getting everything you need and nothing you don't

I like e-mails and texts and video chats (ok not really that), and snail mail. I will not disappear on you until your session. Unless I get annoying and you want me to. In which case, cool, I can take a hint. I'm a whiz at styling and location scouting and hair and makeup connections. Bombard me with the questions.

My favorite part of working with families is actually the after party! You have beautiful photos, now what are you going to do with them? Let's design a gallery wall, an album, or fine art prints to memorialize your session. Because real life, tangible, hold in your hand photos are the best kind.
